Our client isn't looking for an Accounts Manager who hides behind spreadsheets and says, "that's not my job."
They're looking for the person who understands that in a successful SME, everyone rows in the same direction.
The type of person who can produce a management pack in the morning, chase a supplier issue before lunch, help solve an operational problem in the afternoon and still have time to answer the door to a client that pops in!
The role is varied in every sense – 60/70% of your week will be spent keeping the transactional finance ticking over so you must be experienced in accounting but equally happy to pick up the phone if it rings or book a meeting for the MD.
