Audit & Accounts Semi Senior - Leeds - Up to £40,000 DOE
A well-established and independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leeds, providing a wide range of accountancy, audit, tax and advisory services to SMEs, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients. The firm has a friendly and supportive culture, with a strong focus on client service, professional development and progression.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least 2 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
- Is ideally part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA or AAT
- Has solid experience in accounts preparation
- Is confident dealing directly with clients and building strong relationships
- Can work independently whilst also contributing effectively within a wider team
- Has experience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading statutory audit assignments
- Preparing year-end accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102, including group consolidations
- Supervising and supporting junior members of the team
- Preparing corporation tax computations
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping, VAT and general accounting queries
- Getting involved in advisory work such as tax planning, due diligence and business valuations
