Senior Accountant
Up to £50,000 DOE | Permanent | Remote (with occasional visits to Wigan)

We're working with a modern, growing accountancy practice that's invested in technology, flexibility and its people. You'll manage your own client portfolio, work with cloud-based systems, and be part of a supportive team, all without the daily commute.
What you'll be doing
- Managing your own portfolio of SME clients
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Completing VAT returns and corporation tax computations
- Supporting clients with Xero, QuickBooks and cloud accounting
- Building long-term client relationships and liaising with HMRC
- Reviewing work and mentoring junior team members
- Identifying ways to improve client service and add value
What we're looking for
You'll already have experience working in an accountancy practice and be confident managing client relationships.
Ideally you'll have:
- ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Practice experience managing a client portfolio
- Strong knowledge of VAT and corporation tax
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar cloud software
- A proactive, organised and client-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills
